Amidst the examinations of school girls, the stress on their shoulders to be at the top, if they find a team of companions who can understand them well is like a dream come true. The girls from classes 6th to 8th of Kridaniketan school in Malewadi, Hadapsar, Pune received the opportunity to get empowered with knowledge about ‘Menstrual Hygiene Awareness’. Team ZT lead by Mrs. Priti Kushwaha, Mrs. Khushboo Zunj, Mrs. Nidhi Swamy, Komal Gupta, Vipika Kotangale, Mrs. Neelu Malkapurkar, Krutika Jadhav and social activist Ayesha from the Spherule Foundation were the part of this philanthropy activity.
The session on Menstrual Hygiene Awareness was conducted by Vipika Kotangale at 4.30 pm to 5.15 pm in the school hall. It was delivered in native Marathi language for an easier understanding.
The book, ‘Moontime’ written by Dr. Geeta Bora, a renowned social activist is a comic book that focuses on everything we need to know about menstrual health had been a very useful resource to explain how a female body works. In the “Question and Answer” session, the team interacted with the girls to answer their queries in a scientific manner.
The response from the school girls, their teachers and staff had been overwhelming. We thank them for giving us the chance to address this typical concern which is not talked about much.
Our BPO jobs in Pune not only empower the women at ZapTech but also empower women from all walks of life. Sometimes, even at places where there is no electricity or shortage of resources.
This gives the sense of a global family, community and a global village and gives the team a strength to do more and achieve more. After all, it is all about the corporate social responsibility of the BPO company and this event has added just another feather in the hat.
The session ended with distribution of the book ‘Moontime’ and hygiene gear like sanitary napkins to the school girls. Krutika Jadhav had proposed a vote of thanks along with her exceptional photography skills.
It is not difficult to be happy yourself if you know how to share your happiness
